Africa's children listen to the voice of the soil

North to South, East to West the children have let their birth place down. It's actually nice to see people stand up for their rights after years of injustice. The people of Egypt and Tunisia have stood out from their troubles to speak out against leaders that take advantage of those without a voice. Mubarak must move on please. Move away. Let the people breathe. 80 million people need their country back.

I hope the rest of the continent catches on to this trend. Unfortunately, for change to be achieved some lives will be lost but this is for the better of the greater. All of us young Africans taking in knowledge from our studies must not become products of our oppression. Lets become changers and eliminators of the oppression because the next generation walking into classrooms should have better opportunities than we were given. We give too many excuses about why we are where we are. Colonization has passed and we have had plenty of time to turn the leaf over.

It's the innocent that suffer but look on high for hope. Their brothers look on watching the suffering or turn a blind eye to the situation. For all the people that have died and have been injured in Egypt and Tunisia, every child born from now you have managed to change his or her life. They could never thank you enough for your courage. Everyday we must turn back and ask ourselves what did I do today that will make tomorrow a better place. If we don't then what are we living for.

No matter how different a man may be there is nothing that places one man over the other. Money, social status and preference are all human creations that we use to discriminate yet we are not creators of this world. Killings in Uganda are shameful, inhumane and outright ignorant. If you are a man of the bible then live by it. The Holy Bible does not justify killing. We pray for a better day tomorrow.

My heart still hurts for Africa
